Mission and History

At Trinity Catholic Academy, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of excellence for every member of our educational environment. In a diverse, urban Catholic school community, we promote the spirit and teaching of the Catholic faith while offering a challenging academic curriculum enriched with the arts, music, technology, and athletics. We empower our students to be motivated, curious scholars of strong character who continually strive to reach their fullest human potential in the classroom and beyond.

As the only Catholic elementary and middle school in Brockton, Trinity Catholic Academy is an accredited, co-educational institution located in the heart of the city. We provide a highly structured, safe environment combined with an excellent academic program, emphasizing math and language arts for over 350 students in preschool through grade 8. Trinity was established in 2007 and continues to make strides in urban education through our two campuses.

Our racially and socio-economically diverse students are inspired to learn every day by our educational philosophy that focuses on cultivating and building strong character through faith, values, self-confidence, and respect for others.

The first school of the Archdiocese of Boston’s 2010 Initiative for Catholic Education, a school revitalization effort led by Jack Connors, Jr., Trinity Catholic led the charge of systematic reform in Greater Boston. Trinity is the result of a merger of the Catholic elementary schools of Brockton’s St. Edward, St. Casimir, and Sacred Heart Parishes, which have histories dating back to the late 1800s and where thousands of children received their early educations. In 2007 the schools - confronted by declining enrollment, deteriorating buildings, and mounting financial challenges - merged and re-opened as Trinity Catholic Academy.

A Board of Trustees was organized with a wide range of expertise, and with a lay administrative team equipped with solid education and operation experience, they implemented plans to launch a sustainable school model focused on exceptional academics.

We are tremendously grateful for the dedicated supporters, who, with great generosity, helped rebuild and revitalize Catholic education in the greater Brockton region.
